Products applying for mandatory UC certification must have their manuals in Portuguese, while voluntary UC certification products can accept manuals in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

The procedure is simpler and allows for flexibility. For non-mandatory Brazilian UC certification, you can first conduct testing at an INMETRO-accredited laboratory and then submit the application. If all requirements are met, the certificate can be issued.
